Bowls, benches and old quarry lines

Pecatu’s ground has more shape than the rest of the Bukit. Between Dreamland and Balangan the plateau dips into natural bowls, and decades of small quarrying left benches and cut faces that plots now build around. Practically, that means most jobs here are two jobs: breaking rock on the high side and placing engineered fill on the low side — which makes a proper cut and fill plan worth more here than almost anywhere. Balanced correctly, your pool excavation becomes your terrace fill and the truck count collapses.

The second Pecatu specific is water. Limestone drains through fissures, and owners are often told “it’s rock, water disappears”. Sometimes it does — into the neighbour’s cut, or out of a cliff face below someone’s terrace. We survey flow paths, cut channels into rock where the grade allows and build structured soakaways where it doesn’t, so drainage is designed rather than hoped for.
