Most earthworks disputes in Bali start with a vague quote — “per day, plus trucks, we’ll see”. We measure your land, calculate cut and fill volumes before the first bucket, and put machine hours, truck counts and disposal in writing.

- Levels you can check: we set grade stakes and laser levels; you can verify the finished pad against the drawing yourself.

Pererenan
Villas pushed up against river gorges and terraced drops. Most Pererenan jobs pair excavation with a serious retaining wall — we price both together.
Seseh
Seseh and Cemagi are this year’s frontier: former rice fields that need clearing, fill, subak-friendly drainage and an access road before anything can be built.
Kedungu
Big coastal plots around Kedungu and Nyanyi mean real volumes — thousands of cubic meters of cut and fill. We calculate before we dig, so trucks don’t surprise you.
Ubud
Jungle slopes, river valleys and driveways that switchback down to the plot. Ubud earthworks are about terracing, tree work and getting machines in at all.
Uluwatu
On the Bukit you don’t dig, you break. Pools, footings and tanks in Uluwatu mean hydraulic breakers on solid limestone — we carry the attachments and price it honestly.

Clifftop plots above Bingin and Padang Padang with access a car struggles on. We solve it with mini excavators, conveyor tricks and patient logistics.
Ungasan
Estate-scale plots on the plateau above Melasti. Ungasan jobs combine limestone breaking with long utility trenches and access roads across big frontages.
Pecatu
From Dreamland to Balangan, Pecatu mixes resort-scale grading with private villas cut into limestone bowls. We run both — same machines, same care.
Jimbaran
Hillside plots above the bay: soil on top, limestone underneath, and neighbours close on both sides. Jimbaran cuts need shoring plans, not just a big machine.
Sanur
Flat, low and wet: Sanur sits on high groundwater, so basements, pools and septic pits need dewatering and drainage designed before the first bucket.
Denpasar
Shops, warehouses and ruko rebuilds: demolition grubbing, pad preparation and utility trenches — scheduled around Denpasar traffic and neighbours.

How much does excavation cost in Bali?

What is cut and fill, and why does it save me money?
Cut and fill means using soil cut from the high part of your plot to fill the low part, instead of trucking soil out and buying fill in. On a sloped site a balanced grading plan can remove 30–60 trucks from the budget. We explain it with numbers in our cut and fill guide →
Do you work on limestone plots on the Bukit — Uluwatu, Bingin, Ungasan?
Yes, limestone is our specialty. We run hydraulic breakers on our excavators and price rock work honestly after a free test dig, so you are not surprised mid-project. Details on the rock breaking page and the Uluwatu area page.
My plot has very narrow access. Can you still get machines in?
Do you handle soil disposal, and where does the soil go?
Yes — haul-away is part of the quote: from IDR 480,000 per 7 m³ truck within 10 km, to legal disposal and fill sites we have agreements with. Clean cut soil is often re-sold as fill, which can reduce your disposal cost. We confirm truck counts before digging starts.
Can earthworks be done in the rainy season?
A lot can: rock breaking, trenching in free-draining ground, walls and drainage. Mass grading and compaction in clay usually must wait for dry weather windows. We schedule around the radar — honest breakdown in our rainy season guide →
Can I dig a foundation by hand instead of hiring machines?
For small footings in soft soil — yes, Bali crews still dig by hand and sometimes it is the right call. For anything deeper than 1.5 m, near neighbours, or in rock, it stops being safe or economical. We wrote an honest guide: digging by hand in Bali →
